Welcome to the home of the Swampfox!
TestimonialsI am very proud of this school and what it stands for. My son has been goingto FMMA since it has opened. He is zoned for Lae Weir High and I am so glad that he is not going there! My son has grown so much academically as well as emotionally since he has been at FMMA. He would have been picked on constasntly on Lake Weir, the kids there are so cruel. At FMMA the kids are a family and look out for each other. There are there to encourage them and also there to comfort them in hard times. FMMA makes a difference and I hope they will be here for a long, long, time. I am very proud to have my son be in the first graduating class from FMMA. The teachers, stafff and leaders are the best!! There are here because they care for the students, not for the money and benefits (which is nothing). I love the school and so does my son. There are 3 National Board Certified High School Math Teachers in Marion County. One works at the School Board (not in a classroom), another is the head of the EMIT Program at Forest High School and the third is at Francis Marion Military Academy. The teachers at Francis Marion Military Academy are dedicated to teaching the students but they can't do it on their own. If the student doesn't want to learn or put forth the effort (homework and studying), the end result will be the same no matter where they attend school. FMMA's administration has been and continues to be devoted 100% to the success and growth of the school. In June the first graduating class of FMMA will earn their diplomas. They should be very proud of their efforts, they have worked hard for a common goal. I have seen enormous growth on the part of students from the first day of school through the end of the year. They walk taller with respect for their teachers and each other. Keep up the good work. Job well done!! I have been going to this school for two year's now, and i would have to say this is probably the best school in Florida. I went to Forest high school before I came to FMMA and Forest wasn't working with me, I was failing one of my classes, but they were only focusing on the FCAT. When i came to FMMA I was passing all my classes, while i was learning how to support our country, and learning new leadership skills everyday. FMMA is a awesome school and I would recommend it to any one. My son loves going to FMMA. I've seen a real improvement in his self-confidence and self-discipline. It isn't the trouble makers who are popular here - it's the honor roll students, the leaders, who are looked up to. Communication is much more frequent than any school my kids have attended before. I get emails every week or two that keep me up to date with the school's happenings. Most schools have fundraisers, but for FMMA it is a matter of survival. I also think it teaches the students that you have to work hard for what you want and money has to be earned because it isn't given freely. I'm grateful for the opportunity to send my son to FMMA and intend to enroll my daughter when it's her turn for high school. I think the staff at FMMA are doing an amazing job, I have been impressed at the way the staff cares for each individual student. I would not even consider putting my son back in public school, and I support and stand by the Staff and school 100%.I really hope that every parent is behind our school because that's what it is , our school. My son has been in FMMA from the beginning (3 years ago). We left an overpriced and academically inferior Christian School and were looking for a place that was not like the other public schools. FMMA is not perfect (no school is by the way) but I challenge anyone to say those teachers and staff don't give 100% to try and teach these kids. My son's math teacher especially has been a wonderful counselor and teacher. My son has been academically challenged at FMMA and is currently involved in dual-enrollment program with the college of Cental Florida. This school does not tolerate bad behavior and disrespect. Kids are given the most opportunities to be good leaders, good volunteers and learn respect for others. We need a good alternative to the mega size public schools of today. At FMMA your child is not just a number. Ten years from now I will be glad to tell others my son was in the first graduating class. If you are looking for a smaller class size in a structured environment with excellent and caring teachers than check out FMMA! This school is the best!!! Our child struggled in school every year. After we made the change and put him in FMMA He has excelled in all areas and has more confidence now then he has ever had. We recommend this school to everyone. Don't know what we would do without FMMA!!! Our family thinks very highly of this school. We were not satisfied with Forest High School. They were going to just keep passing our son along without making sure he was caught up with his classes. Our son really wanted to do ROTC and since he didn't score high enough on the Fcat they wouldn't let him take ROTC. Since we put in FMMA they have worked with us and our son and he has improved so much. He also love his school. We also like the morals and the structure of the school. Everyone at FMMA is treated with respect. We recommend this school to everyone. God Bless FMMA We are a family that wholeheartedly appreciates Franci Marion Military Academy. The dedicated staff and committed investment by teachers to help the students thrive academically is exceptional. Our freshman is thriving in this uniquely structured learning environment. I believe what is taken out of your experience is very much based on what you invest in and your level of participation. We are truly grateful that we found this opportunity which offers a more one-on-one teaching environment. After home-schooling for the first eight years this school has provided the best transition for high school as we prepare for college. |
